Dr. Ji Dongxu - Research Fellow

Short bio

Born in China in 1992, Ji Dongxu graduated from Harbin Engineering in 2013 with B.Eng. in nuclear engineering. From 2014 to 2018, he did a PhD working on thermoelectric generator simulation and design for waste heat recovery, at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), under Rolls-Royce @NTU Corporate Lab. After finishing the PhD, he has been employed as Research Fellow in the Energy Research Innovation at NTU (ERI@N).

Projects

Thermoelectric generator design for Smart Multi-Energy System (SMES) in Energy Research Institute @NTU

A significant amount of energy is dissipated as waste heat in various engineering processes. This project aims to increase the energy efficiency by recovering waste heat using a thermoelectric generator (TEG). High power density and cost-effective TEG design is the main interest of this project.
