Mr. Khor Jun Onn - PhD Student
Short bio
Khor Jun Onn obtained his Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2016 at Nanyang Technological University. Upon graduation, he joined Energy Research Institute at NTU (ERI@N) as a PhD student.
Projects
Design and development of a High Grade Cold Regenerator for Cryogenic Applications
Jun Onn’s research focus is mainly on the recovery of wasted cold energy, mainly by using the cold storage technologies. The research projects involved are (1) studies on recovery methods for cold energy released during LNG regasification and (2) cold energy storage method by using packed bed regenerators. He is mainly tasked for design and optimization of the packed bed regenerators involving different types of thermal storage materials by using CFD method.
